JOHN DAVID

John David is an Oregon Coast sculptor and the artist behind Oregon Art. His work draws from the landscapes and materials of the coast, including reclaimed maple burl, myrtlewood, petrified bogwood, and found coastal stone. 

Many pieces begin with a natural form and evolve through a hands-on process that blends carving, engineering, and a long, meticulous finishing method. John is known for collaborative works that bring in Oregon trades such as blown glass and blacksmithing, creating sculptures that invite close viewing and a strong sense of place.
