This exquisite one-of-a-kind old growth reclaimed maple Burl sculpture celebrates the raw untamed beauty that can only be found in nature. As you can see the primary (artist) in this piece is truthfully nature. Also this highly prized very exotic wood is highly sought after all over the world and can only be found in limited amounts mainly on the Oregon coast. This piece was designed to be the focal point of any room or private collection.

Artist Statement: Not trying to toot my own horn here but truthfully I am very proud of this piece. And was seriously considering for awhile not selling it because I know their will never be another piece even remotely close to how this piece came out ever produced again. I carefully carved and sanded the (underside of the canopy) it is sanded to 1000 grit. It has gone through my exclusive 3 month finishing process, which utilizes only 100% natural tung oils, carnuaba oil, and a few other natural ingredients ( tricks of the trade so to speak) I went through over 10 pallets of wood to find this specific piece, and I do a ton of business with this wood dealer. Anyway I paid the full price the wood wholesaler asked for and took the piece home. That evening the seller called me up trying to get it back. Hopefully that gives you just a bit of idea of this woods value uncarved. A bit of engineering was done to get the (canopy) perfectly level, while also giving the new owner the ability to move the top to create a totally different look in their space anytime they want. This piece was created specifically to take the viewer for a brief period of time ( if only in their head) into one of our many Oregon coast woodland sanctuaries. I really hope you enjoy this piece, and thank you.
